Calvary has been actively involved in community outreach since we began.
We participate monthly in Community Cafe by staffing and providing meals for our homeless and disadvantaged residents on a monthly basis and have been participating almost since we became a church.
We have an inner-city ministry called “The Fortress” that began as a summer community out-reach program and evolved into a weekly program in the former Franklin Heights area of Murfreesboro for several years. At it’s height it served about 80 under-privileged children from that community. When that area was closed and the families dispersed we moved our program back to Calvary and currently run vans and buses throughout Murfreesboro to bring children to our regular Calvary Wednesday evening programs.
Other local programs include our “Christmas House” Ministry, our support of the Portico and Greenhouse Ministries plus many other opportunities to serve.
